Krystyn on Steve Madden

Contributor Krystyn offers her take on a fabulous pair of Steve Maddens

These shoes make it easy to be both edgy, stylish, and seductive. The soft glow of satin combined with hand placed crystal detail makes these heels reminiscent of every girl's dream of being a princess; now with a seductive, yet classy touch. A selection of colors allows for the subtle neutrals for work or the bright pink for nights out! Steve Madden is known for the durability, reasonable pricing, and long lasting wear of their shoes. The comfort gel insole makes it easy to wear them for hours without the painful arch and ball ache that often comes along with sky-high heels. With this pair, you really can have it all!

Rachael's thoughts on her Converse shoes

Probably one of the greatest shoes ever made has been the Converse All*Star 'Chuck Taylor'. Ateast 60% of americans own or have owned a pair of these sneakers. In 1908 the Converse Rubber Corporation opened, and at first only made galoshes and other work related rubber shoes on a seasonal basis. Shortly after that the company decided it was more efficient to keep their work force working year round and began making athletic shoes. With the popularity of basketball, after a lot of research, the very first version of the All Star basketball shoe was produced in 1917.TheAll Star shoe originally came in natural brown colors with black trim. In the 1920's they were made in all black canvas or leather versions. Chuck Taylors have a lot of history and are an amazing shoe. I enjoy them so much because they have history, a large variety, and have been researched and sold for years due to their comfort. You can also find these shoes in a very affordable price range, and in several popular shoe stores near you.

Some medical advice on heels...

...which is NOT entirely about not wearing heels...but is discouraging.

My advice: go for the sassy heels -- but BE CAREFUL and give your feet a chance to relax and stretch, too!

barefoot on the sidewalk.

no thanks!

keep SOME shoes on... and make them sassy sandals, not flip-flops. Flip-flops change the way you walk and pose real risks to your feet, legs, and back. Ouch.

But barefoot girls: no thanks! Dirt, bacteria, even lots of cuts. Not attractive.

Sandals vs. Flip-Flops

Sandals are for work.

Flip flops are not.

Flip flops are beach wear and/or appropriate for college.

And, if you are wearing sandals, your toes should be painted and clean and neat.

Take care of your feet!

Shoe Tip

Ladies, it's spring...and soon to be summer.

That means sandals (not flip-flops)...and it inevitably means peeptoe pumps for fun at work... :)

BUT: if your second toe is significantly longer than the big toe, this can make peeptoes look strange... and not sexy.

so, pay attention to your toes, ladies...keep them clean, neat, and appropriately clad in amazing shoes... go to a shoe boutique where the owner is likely to find or recommend shoes that fit your feet...and make them (and you) look fabulous!
